This weekend we had visitors, so I made some doughnuts. Lara Ferroni recently wrote about Maple Meringue Filled Doughnuts for the column I edit for FOOD52, so I gave her recipe for yeasted doughnuts a try, and filled some with strawberry jam and some with Nutella. These were easier than I thought, and I'm totally sold on doughnut-making. I even dreamed last night that I had instated a try-one-doughnut-recipe-a-week rule, and that the people around me were beginning to get angry at the poor influence I was having on their health. In reality, I just want to have more brunch parties.
